I moved to Richmond in 2008 to become a member of the faculty of VCU. My wife Jeanine and I found a house on craigslist (821 W. 30th St., Richmond, VA 23225) to rent while we learned about Richmond neighborhoods and to save up for a down payment on a house of our own. Terry and Patti Shulman were the landlords. This blog is about our experiences, what happened to us, and our quest to get our deposit back.

$5 back. $1245 to go!
The check was in the mail. We got $5 back of our $1250 security deposit from Terry and Patti Shulman. They still owe us $1245.
